General Rober Patterson, USA

Union General Robert Patterson fought in the War of 1812 and Served on General Winfield Scott's staff in the Mexican War.  Even though he was not there, Patterson was blamed for the Union loss at First Manassas due to his inability to keep Confederate Forces pinned down in the Shenandoah Valley.
